Cthulhu and Mermaid Wedding Cake Topper

Creating wedding cake toppers offers me a lot of artistic variety. There are a lot of different things that people want to put on their cakes, and it always impresses me that after almost ten years of doing this, I can still be surprised at some of the awesome ideas I get to make into reality.

Here is one of those concepts that really got me. This is Cthulhu and his Mermaid bride. I had him put a hand around her waist to help support her, and overall I really think this couple turned out well.

I wonder if someone will have me make a cake topper where both are mer-folk sometime.

Romantic Ninja Wedding Cake Toppers

Given my studio name, I probably shouldn't have been surprised the first time that someone asked me for a Ninja themed Wedding Cake Topper.

As with all of the cake topper themes, after one was made, other people found the concept irresistible enough to request their own. And over time, I've done a few different poses for Ninjas on Cakes.

Ultimately, I could make quite a few other poses as well, as they're all custom made.  For whatever reason, all of these have featured a Ninja groom paired with a bride in a traditional white wedding dress.  I'm sure that some day, I'll get to create a Ninja bride to go with it.

There's the Ninja Dipping the Bride:

Then there's the Ninja Carrying the Bride Across the Threshold.

Then I got to make a cute couple sitting at the edge of the cake (my studio lacks a suitable cake for photography, so here they are at the edge of a box instead).

And last is a concept I've only done once.  The Ninja is here to Surprise his Bride.  Or someone's bride- I hope these two are together, because there are a lot of ways this scene could end poorly:

I even got to make one Ninja Cake topper that wasn't for a wedding.  It was for a birthday cake for a martial arts instructor- basically, this guy is a legit real ninja:

Willy Wonka Diorama

When I saw this particular mini, I really couldn't help but think of him as Willy Wonka. And what's to do after that aside from create a groovy little diorama to match?

His arms are also re-sculpted because I don't think that Willy needed a weapon

Traditional Zombie Survivor Wedding Cake Toppers

The Geek Wedding Cake Toppers that I make started out when a couple asked me if I could create Zombies for them, and then the happy couple fighting off the zombies.

This continues to be a strong theme for weddings- sometimes I also create zombies climbing the cake (often made to look like bridesmaids and groomsmen) and other times, the couple has other ways to make zombies (I know I've seen some cakes with fondue zombie body parts scattered around). Here are three couples prepped for the zombie apocalypse.

The first bride had an interesting tattoo that I got to copy for her.
